Multilingual sites usually stop at two languages because management gets hard. We run eight — and found that the right model solves almost everything.
Translation, not duplication
Each article is its own entry, but they share one 'family'. Editors see which locales are ready and which are missing — and jump to translation with one click.
SEO for languages
- hreflang links — tell search engines about each locale
- canonical — every locale version is canonical to itself
- URL structure: /ka/ and /en/ prefixes
RTL: Arabic and Hebrew
Right-to-left languages need special care: arrows, sidebars and even image placement flip. That is why every locale is tested before publishing.
A language is not an add-on — it is part of the product.
